The 'Harry Potter' TV series has announced additional casting. New British actors have joined the cast. HBO revealed the supporting cast list for the 'Harry Potter' TV series on the 10th. This includes nine characters such as Molly Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy, and Seamus Finnigan.

First, let’s look at the Hogwarts students. Roxy Prat has been cast as Draco Malfoy. He will play the lead role in the British drama 'Lord of the Files,' which is set to air this year. Leo Early will portray Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni will play Parvati Patil, and Sienna Mussa will take on the role of Lavender Brown. All three are making their debut in the 'Harry Potter' TV series.

The family roles have also seen some casting completed. Katherine Parkinson will play Molly Weasley, and Johnny Flynn will portray Lucius Malfoy. Bell Pauling will take on the role of Petunia Dursley, while Daniel Rigby will play Vernon Dursley. HBO has specifically cast the actors for the Dursley couple to match the age range of the characters in the original novel. They are younger than the actors from the film adaptations. Additionally, Bertie Carvel has been decided to play Cornelius Fudge.

Actors from the film series also welcomed the casting. Jason Isaacs, who played Lucius Malfoy, praised Johnny Flynn on X, stating, “There’s no one better suited to pass over a snake-headed wand than Flynn.”

The production company unveiled the three lead actors on the 28th of last month. Dominic Macloflin will portray Harry Potter, Arabella Standen will play Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stoute will take on the role of Ron Weasley.

The 'Harry Potter' TV series is based on the novel of the same name by British author J.K. Rowling. It will span a total of seven seasons, just like the novels and films. The first season, 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,' is set to premiere on HBO Max next year.
