The movie ‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho) is making a significant run. ‘Harbin’ surpassed 3 million viewers in just 9 days. According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for movie ticketing, over 339,000 viewers watched it on the first day of the new year.

The cumulative audience is approximately 3,094,600. It surpassed the 3 million mark a day faster than ‘Spring in Seoul’. It has also maintained its place as the number one movie reservation for 18 consecutive days. As of the morning of the 2nd, it continues to hold the top real-time reservation rate.

It is expected to draw in audiences in its second weekend since release, aiming for 4 million viewers with an average of over 300,000 people on holidays. ‘Harbin’ is a movie depicting Ahn Jung-geun and independence fighters’ story of attempting to assassinate Ito Hirobumi at Harbin Station in 1909.

It delivers profound resonance with its heavy message. Meanwhile, ‘Bogota: The Land of Last Opportunity’ received somewhat disappointing results. On the same day, it attracted 92,932 viewers, placing it in second. Its cumulative audience is 193,880.
