The film “Harbin” (directed by Woo Min-ho) has surpassed 2 million viewers. According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for movie tickets, “Harbin” exceeded 2 million cumulative viewers at 5:56 PM on the 28th.

This is a record achieved in just five days since its release, securing its position at the top of the box office. It boasted a rapid pace, matching the speed of director James Cameron’s mega-hit “Avatar: The Way of Water.” It surpassed the pace of another domestic hit “Spring in Seoul,” which reached the milestone on its sixth day.

The cast sent a thank-you video to commemorate the 2 million viewer milestone, including lead actor Hyun Bin, along with Cho Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-been, Park Hoon, and director Woo Min-ho. Park Jung-min, who is shooting in a foreign location, also sent a thank-you photo.

“Harbin” is a period drama set in 1909, depicting the breathless chase and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a single purpose and those pursuing them, focusing on the story of Ahn Jung-geun.
