‘Harbin’ is Already Hot… Tops Overall Reservation Rate and Theater Big 3

The film ‘Harbin’ (directed by Woo Min-ho) is forecasted to be a box-office hit. According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated computer network for movie ticket admissions, ‘Harbin’ recorded a reservation rate of 31.5% as of 1 PM on the 16th, ranking first among released and upcoming films.

It is about to surpass 100,000 advance ticket sales, with 95,784 viewers participating in advance bookings as of today, exceeding the reservation count of ‘Mufasa: The Lion King.’ It also topped the reservation rate rankings at the three major theater chains. ‘Harbin’ ranked first in reservation rates on the official websites of the three multiplex chains: CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox.

‘Harbin’ is a historical drama featuring independence fighters, including Ahn Jung-geun. It tells the story of those heading to Harbin with a common purpose and those pursuing them. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year-end.

The cast includes Hyun Bin, Park Jung-min, Jo Woo-jin, Yoo Jae-myung, Lily Franky, and Lee Dong-wook. The film’s impressive global locations also add to its appeal. Meanwhile, ‘Harbin’ will be released in theaters on the 24th.
