Handsome Guys’ Goes Global… Tops Vietnamese Box Office

The movie 'Handsome Guys' (directed by Nam Dong-hyup) has captivated Vietnamese audiences.

'Handsome Guys' officially premiered in Vietnam on the 9th. It recorded a seat occupancy rate of 13%. Following 'Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Pentagram' and 'Deadpool and Wolverine', it ranked second at the box office.

It is accelerating in popularity. On the 10th and 11th, it recorded seat occupancy rates of 17% and 20.5%, respectively. It has even reached the top of the box office, continuing its impressive box office performance.

Vietnamese audiences have praised the 'unique combination of horror and comedy.' The film is expected to further solidify the position of Korean movies in the Vietnamese market, leading to global success.

'Handsome Guys' is an occult comedy movie. Jae-pil (played by Lee Sung-min) and Sang-goo (played by Lee Hee-jun) dream of a peaceful rural life. However, their story unfolds as they move into a house possessed by ghosts.

It was released in Korea last June. Its B-movie charm allowed it to quickly break even. It is currently available in theaters as well as through VOD services.
