Actor Han Suk-kyu has revealed the reason for choosing his next project.
Han Suk-kyu will star in MBC-TV’s new Friday-Saturday drama 'Such an Intimate Betrayer' (written by Han Ah-young, directed by Song Yeon-hwa). It’s his return to MBC after nearly 30 years.
'Such an Intimate Betrayer' is a father-daughter thriller. While investigating a murder case, a profiler encounters his daughter’s secret. It’s a story that follows the pursuit of truth.
Han Suk-kyu will play Jang Tae-soo, the nation’s top profiler. Tae-soo is a character who becomes bewildered after discovering that his daughter Ha-bin (played by Chae Won-bin) is connected to the case.
The script was attractive. Han Suk-kyu said, “I was fortunate to come across a story I’ve always wanted to tell” and described the project as one that “makes you ponder and think as a parent.”
He added, “The drama well captures a family standing between trust and doubt. There’s nothing more painful than doubting your own family.”
He also said, “I hope viewers anticipate how the arrow of doubt shot by Jang Tae-soo comes back, and the weighty impact of the truths revealed beyond the case.”
Meanwhile, 'Such an Intimate Betrayer' will premiere on the 11th of next month at 9:50 PM.
