Hando Kim Declines Chairman Position, Despite Calling for 'One Team'
Former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo has reportedly rejected an offer to become the campaign chair for Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party.
According to political circles on the 12th, Han stated that "to win the election, the person who conducts the election should be in charge of the campaign committee," which was the reason for rejecting Kim's proposal.
Through this, Han has effectively expressed his intention not to participate in this presidential campaign committee.

Additionally, it has been reported that his close aides, who held key positions when Han was assembling the campaign, are also not joining Kim’s camp.
Previously, on the 11th, Han held a press conference at the Yeouido campaign office and stated that he accepts the results of the vote among People Power Party members opposing the replacement of the party's presidential candidate with him.
Following this, he declared that he would not register as an independent presidential candidate and subsequently met with Kim.

During this meeting, Kim requested Han to serve as the campaign chair of his committee.
However, at that moment, Han evaded a direct answer, suggesting that "it would be better to discuss what is practically appropriate a little more."
Meanwhile, Kim began his official election activities for the 21st presidential election early in the morning on the 12th at the Garak Market in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
