Han Dong-hoon Sparks Controversy Over Martial Law Remarks on 'SNL Korea'
Han Dong-hoon, a candidate for the presidency from the National Power Party, made headlines by appearing on the entertainment program 'SNL Korea.'
On the 26th, Han commented on his political views while conducting an interview with actress Ji Ye-eun, who played a convenience store manager role. He described the declaration of martial law by former President Yoon Suk-yeol as more of a "nonsense act" than the Democratic Party's attempts to impeach over thirty times.

Han introduced himself as "Han Dong-hoon, who is doing politics in the National Power Party," and in response to a question about his motivation to support them, he stated, "I have been cut a few times. I was cut for being a traitor, but I did not betray my master." When asked which was more of a nonsense act between the "attempted martial law" and the "over thirty impeachment attempts," he candidly replied, "It's the attempted martial law. I'll probably get cut again."
He reminisced about his experience being attacked by both the Democratic and conservative sides during his time as a prosecutor, adding, "It seems like I live tired every time."

In addition, at a recent debate for the National Power Party presidential primary candidates, he claimed that he fought and won against the Democratic Party with a ratio of 180 to 1. When Ji Ye-eun specifically asked what he won against, Han explained, "I did it for the passage of the arrest warrant for Lee Jae-myung, preventing the introduction of the financial transaction tax, and blocking taxation on virtual assets."
When asked if he could defeat candidate Lee Jae-myung, he asserted, "During the martial law at the time of December 3rd, I went to the National Assembly directly to stop the martial law. Lee Jae-myung said he was scared of being captured, so he hid in the woods for an hour."
Regarding the allegations raised by candidate Hong Jun-pyo about high-heeled shoes, wigs, and shapewear during the primary debate, he dismissed them saying, "They say it's shapewear padding, but that's childish fluff. We don't talk about that kind of stuff."
