Ha Jung-woo and Kim Nam-gil, a tense showdown… ‘Broken’, a critical moment

Actors Ha Jung-woo and Kim Nam-gil have hinted at intense action. The film “Broken” (directed by Kim Jin-hwang) released some still cuts on the 15th. It includes scenes of confrontation between the main characters Ha Jung-woo (as Min-tae) and Kim Nam-gil (as Ho-ryeong).

Ha Jung-woo is searching for the truth behind his brother’s death and his missing sister-in-law. He is angered by Kim Nam-gil’s novel because it contains content that seemingly predicts the incident. Ha Jung-woo finds Kim Nam-gil and grabs him by the collar, creating a tense and explosive situation. His face is filled with anger while Kim Nam-gil appears bewildered.

Other still cuts were also intense, showcasing a tense psychological battle. Ha Jung-woo exudes anger, while Kim Nam-gil’s thoughts remain unreadable, presenting a heated acting showdown.

Ha Jung-woo personally introduced the relationship between Min-tae and Ho-ryeong, saying, “It’s like water and oil meeting but not mixing,” and recalled, “That part was truly intriguing.” He praised Kim Nam-gil’s acting, stating, “He conveyed Ho-ryeong’s mysterious aspects well with restrained acting,” adding that “he anchored the character’s essence firmly.”

Kim Nam-gil also expressed satisfaction with his collaboration with Ha Jung-woo, saying, “Working with him is always enjoyable and there’s much to learn. Our synergy is as good as it was in our previous work ‘The Closet’.”

“Broken” is a crime thriller about Min-tae’s pursuit. It involves his brother who returned as a corpse, his missing sister-in-law, and a bestselling novelist who seemed to predict the incident. In the film, both characters are on the trail of the brother’s wife, Moon-young.

Ha Jung-woo seeks the truth, and Kim Nam-gil aims to protect his novel and reputation by finding her. A representative stated, “Ha Jung-woo chases leads to the ends of the earth, gradually approaching the truth. The key is what secrets Ha Jung-woo and Kim Nam-gil will face.”

Meanwhile, “Broken” is set to be released on the 5th of next month.
