On the 27th of last month, an incident occurred where an elderly woman suddenly collapsed into the hot water at a bathhouse in Jung-gu, Seoul. On that day, Hwang, along with others, rescued the elderly woman and checked her breathing, but she was not breathing.

Hwang immediately instructed those around to "quickly call 119," and then began CPR.

Fortunately, thanks to Hwang's swift actions, the elderly woman was able to breathe again. Hwang then seated her on the steps of the bath to help her stabilize.

Upon the arrival of the 119 emergency responders, Hwang assisted in moving the elderly woman to the changing room and helped her into the ambulance to be transported to the hospital.

A, who witnessed Hwang's rescue, learned from the bathhouse staff that Hwang works in the Department of Radiology at Hanyang University Hospital. A then went to the hospital's website to write a post praising Hwang.

A stated, "I don't think I will ever forget that courageous action, so I wanted to share this post. I sincerely want to give my compliments and respect."

Hwang, who works at the hospital, mentioned that it was her first time attempting CPR that day. However, she explained that because she received CPR training once a year at the hospital, she was able to perform the steps of checking for breathing, requesting a 119 call, and conducting CPR without panicking.

Hwang expressed, "I was surprised because it was my first time performing it on a real patient after always practicing on a mannequin. The elderly woman's age was similar to my mother’s, and many of the patients I usually encounter are around that age, so I was able to conduct CPR without fear."

She also added, "Since it's something anyone can do, I hope CPR training can be well implemented."
