Netflix's new original film 'Good News' (directed by Byun Sung-hyun) has unveiled its details. Netflix announced on the 18th that 'Good News' is set to be released on October 17. On the same day, a teaser poster and trailer were also revealed.
The poster was significant. Seol Kyung-gu (playing the role of A) wore a worried expression. Hong Kyung (playing the role of Seo Go-myung) was focused on the operation while wearing headphones.
Another image depicted Seol Kyung-gu in a North Korean military uniform. Hong Kyung waved his hand while draped with a wreath. Behind them, an airplane crossed over a map of the Korean Peninsula.

The trailer was intense. Seol Kyung-gu’s deep voice heightened the tension. A secret operation to land a hijacked passenger plane on Korean soil unfolded rapidly. Gimpo Airport switched scenes with Pyongyang Airport. Hong Kyung said, "Sometimes, the truth also lies." Seol Kyung-gu replied, "Even lies tell the truth," increasing curiosity.

'Good News' is a disaster thriller set in 1970. It depicts the operations of individuals attempting to land a plane hijacked by a Japanese communist group.
Seol Kyung-gu plays the role of the mysterious troubleshooter A. He is involved in a secret operation commanded by Park Sang-hyun (played by Ryu Seung-beom) to forcibly land the hijacked plane.
Hong Kyung transforms into Air Force Lieutenant Seo Go-myung. He is inadvertently called upon for the secret operation, tasked with deceiving the hijackers and, in a desperate mission, recapturing the passenger plane on the ground.
'Good News' has been garnering attention even before its release. It has been officially invited to the 'Special Presentations' section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival. The film will premiere on Netflix on October 17.
