Actor Gong Myung has donated 20 million KRW to support youths preparing for independence and a water project, in celebration of Christmas. World Vision, an international relief and development NGO, announced on the 20th, “We have received a donation of 20 million KRW from ambassador Gong Myung in celebration of Christmas.”

The donation from Gong Myung will be split equally, with 10 million KRW used for medical expenses for youths preparing for independence in emergency situations and 10 million KRW for a water support project in Bangladesh.

Gong Myung stated, “I am grateful to be able to extend my heart to places in need during Christmas,” and added, “Though the weather is cold, I hope we all have a warm-hearted Christmas.” Gong Myung was appointed as a World Vision ambassador last May.

In June, he donated 10 million KRW to a family caregiving youth support project in celebration of his 10th anniversary as an actor. The president of World Vision expressed appreciation, saying, “We are thankful that as an ambassador, you are leading the spread of sharing culture,” and promising, “We will continue our efforts with Ambassador Gong Myung to ensure a fulfilling life for children in need.”

Meanwhile, Gong Myung is set to appear in the upcoming 2025 TVING original series ‘A Week Before I Die’ and tvN’s ‘Please Take Care of This Week’s Drink.’
