Actress Go Hyun-jung has transformed into a star maker. Genie TV released the main poster for the new original drama “Namib” (written by Eom Seong-min, directed by Han Sang-jae and Kang Min-gu) on the 29th. It features former CEO Kang Su-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung) and released trainee Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryeoun).
The two are facing each other across a negotiation table. Notably, Kang Su-hyun is holding a business card with her agency’s name scribbled out with a pen due to her dismissal. Despite this, her gaze remains intense.
Yoo Jin-woo also displays a confident look in his eyes. Even as a released trainee, he stands as a character unyielding to former CEO Kang Su-hyun. The narrative hints at a character full of rebellion and the conflict between the two.
The poetic tagline also captures attention. It includes the phrase "Where the desert and the sea meet to become a dream," hinting at the story of Kang Su-hyun, who is as desolate as a desert, and Yoo Jin-woo, who is as precarious as a wave.
"Namib" tells the story of the dismissed star producer Kang Su-hyun and released long-term trainee Yoo Jin-woo, as they come together and move forward for their respective goals. Go Hyun-jung and Ryeoun deliver stellar performances.
"Namib" will premiere on ENA at 10 PM on the 23rd of next month.
