
(1) The girl group (G)I-DLE has changed its name as it marks its 7th anniversary since debut. They will now begin activities under the new name 'i-dle.'
(2) Cube Entertainment announced on the 2nd, "We have removed the 'G' from the original group name. This reestablishes the group's identity, which cannot be defined by any gender," adding, "We will showcase limitless music."
(3) The agency mentioned, "We are presenting bold rebranding after re-signing our contract," stating, "This is not just a simple change of group name, but a leap towards a higher goal. We will show strengthened teamwork and expanded musicality."
(4) They are starting activities under the new group name. They will release their mini album No. 8 as a complete group on the 19th. On that day, they unveiled a video titled 'for G' on their official SNS.
(5) The members stood in front of a coffin alongside individuals dressed in black robes, mourning the 'G' that they had been with until now. The lyrics of their debut song 'LATATA', "Who’s afraid of anything?" played in the background.
(6) Pre-orders for the new album have started. The album consists of a total of three versions. They plan to unveil content sequentially on the 5th, 6th, 9th, 14th, 16th, and 19th.
