On the 25th, G-Dragon released his third studio album 'Übermensch.' This marks his return with a studio album after approximately 11 years and 5 months.
Upon the release of the new song, it took over domestic music streaming sites. The title track 'TOO BAD' clinched the top spot on real-time charts of Melon, Bugs, and Genie.
This is not just a fleeting success. The song also topped the daily charts for Melon and Bugs (as of the 25th) and ranked second on Genie, following IVE's 'REBEL HEART.'
Other tracks from the album also climbed the charts. Songs like 'HOME SWEET HOME,' 'PO₩ER,' and 'DRAMA' secured spots in the top ranks.
The music video has also garnered significant attention. 'TOO BAD' surpassed 5.5 million cumulative views within just one day of release. It also hit number one on YouTube's trending videos.
Globally, the album’s performance is noteworthy. 'Übermensch' reached number one on the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart and ranked seventh on the Apple Music Worldwide Album Chart.
'Übermensch' consists of eight tracks, each with a distinct mood, including 'TOO BAD,' 'PO₩ER,' 'HOME SWEET HOME,' and 'BONAMANA.'
G-Dragon collaborated with globally renowned musicians. Rapper Anderson .Paak, producer Boys Noize, and guitarist Nile Rodgers contributed to the richness of his new songs.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon will debut the 'TOO BAD' stage on Mnet's 'M Countdown' on the 27th.
