fromis_9 is returning with a new song that embodies healthy and positive energy. Ahead of their comeback on the 12th, they released a Q&A session.
fromis_9 will release their 3rd single "Supersonic" at 6 PM that day. The album encapsulates the members' bright and energetic charms.
The members introduced the album by saying, "This album is 'summer itself.' From the intense and passionate title track to the cool and breezy B-side tracks, it's packed full of summer."
As summer heroines, they will showcase their upgraded abilities. fromis_9 said, "We hope many people recharge their energy and have a cool summer."
They expressed their thoughts ahead of the comeback. Song Ha-young said, "We prepared a stage that seems a bit different from the usual fromis_9, so I really want to pull it off more perfectly than ever."
Lee Chae-young showed special affection by saying, "I am very grateful to the Flovers (fandom name) who waited for us. We will repay you with great performances so that the wait is not in vain."
What kind of image do they want to show their fans? Lee Seo-yeon replied, "An addictive hook! There's also a matching addictive point choreography. I want to show off our intense and cool singing skills like the hot sun."
Noh Ji-sun said about the first impression of 'Supersonic', "It captivated my heart from the intro. I felt an excitement that we could show a different charm to many people with this song."

Q. How do you feel ahead of your comeback?
Lee Sae-rom: I was very eager to show it to you, and I'm glad the album is finally being released. I hope many people can recharge their energy and have a cool summer while listening to "Supersonic".
Song Ha-young: We prepared a stage that seems a bit different from the usual fromis_9, so I really want to pull it off more perfectly than ever.
Noh Ji-sun: We put a lot of effort and care to make this another turning point for us. I look forward to seeing how the fans will react.
Lee Chae-young: I'm very grateful to the Flovers (fandom name) who waited for us, and we will repay you with great performances so that the wait is not in vain.
Q. What kind of image do you want to show with your third single album "Supersonic"?
Noh Ji-sun: While satisfying our refreshing style, I want to show an even more intense energy. I think we broadened our musical spectrum by incorporating different vocal and dance styles.
Lee Seo-yeon: An addictive hook! We also have matching addictive point choreography and intense, cool singing like the hot sun.
Baek Ji-heon: I think we can present a new kind of summer that’s different from the refreshing vibe we’ve previously shown. We worked hard to make sure the energy comes through.
Q. What did you particularly focus on?
Lee Sae-rom: While preparing the choreography, the members encouraged each other by saying, "It might be tougher than usual, but let's not give up and do our best." We were able to perfect the choreography because we all ran towards a single goal.
Song Ha-young: I worked out harder than ever. Since the tempo is fast and the choreography is challenging, stamina was crucial. I worked hard to build the energy you see on stage.
Park Ji-won: I focused on making sure the cool vocals would stand out over the intense beat during recording. We joked among the members that our throats would "taste like blood" because we practiced so hard. (laughs)
Q. Wasn't it physically demanding to prepare for the comeback while handling busy schedules like college festival stages and the Waterbomb tour?
Park Ji-won: Thinking about meeting the fans always gives me strength. It also makes me want to create even better performances.
Lee Seo-yeon: I'm someone who thinks "stamina is mental strength," so I was able to endure it! (laughs)
Baek Ji-heon: It wasn't an easy preparation period, but looking back, we had so much fun and prepared together as one, so I don’t want to say it was hard.
Q. What are the most empowering experiences or words from fans for fromis_9?
Noh Ji-sun: I get the most strength when I see the Flovers during our performances. When fans share their daily lives with me and tell me that I bring strength to their day, I receive even greater energy.
Lee Na-kyung: I feel it every time we perform, but the cheers and support from Flovers now feel like music to me. It's that familiar and precious.
Baek Ji-heon: I think there's a special bond between Flovers and us. I'm grateful and feel motivated to work even harder because they understand and feel our hearts even without words.
Q. What were your first impressions when you heard the title track "Supersonic"?
Lee Sae-rom: Intense summer! This feels like something fromis_9 hasn't tried before! I like it. I want to give it a shot.
Noh Ji-sun: It captivated me from the intro. I thought it was really charming! I felt an excitement that we could show a different charm to many people with this song.
Lee Chae-young: It's very addictive! After listening to it once, I found myself humming it subconsciously (outside of practice time).
Q: What is your favorite track on the album and why?
Song Ha-young: "Take A Chance". When I first heard this song, I felt, "Wow, I really love this song. I definitely want to sing this." The warm and fuzzy emotions and melody of this song completely captured my heart.
Lee Seo-yeon: "Beat the Heat". It was fun because I got to do a lot of doubling, ad-libs, choruses, and more during recording!
Lee Na-kyung: "Supersonic". As the title track, we prepared diligently, and I have a lot of affection for it because of that. (laughs)
Q. If you could describe the single album "Supersonic" with one word?
Park Ji-won: "Red"! It suits the hot summer and feels energetic and passionate, so I think red fits perfectly.
Noh Ji-sun: "Turning point"! Through this album, we want to show a deeper color along with a shift in direction.
Lee Seo-yeon: "Summer itself"! From the intense and passionate title track "Supersonic" to the quirky and kitschy mood of "Beat the Heat" that makes you feel like you can beat the heat with a fan, and the breezy "Take A Chance", this album is packed with summer.
Lee Chae-young: "Charger"! I hope these songs become like a charger when you feel tired and exhausted from the heat.
Lee Na-kyung: "Healthiness"! It's an album filled with energetic and healthy vibes.

Lee Sae-rom: We want this album to reach your happiness as well. I want to share all the good things!
