The police are investigating the circumstances of the death of Jang Je-won, a former lawmaker of the People Power Party, who was accused of sexual assault. He was found dead in an officetel in Gangdong-gu, Seoul at around 11:40 PM on the 30th of last month.
The police have secured Jang's suicide note to investigate the circumstances of his death. It is reported that the note contains information about his family, but does not make a clear mention regarding the sexual assault allegations. Specific details related to the accuser, A, are also said to be absent from the note.
The memorial space for the deceased will be set up at Busan Haeundae Paik Hospital, and condolences will be accepted starting from 10:30 AM on the 2nd. The funeral is scheduled to take place at 9 AM on the 4th, and the burial will be at Siloam Park Cemetery.

Meanwhile, A's side initially planned to hold a press conference on the morning of the same day to explain the circumstances of the accusations, but they canceled it upon hearing the news of Jang's death. The police intend to thoroughly investigate all circumstances related to the case.
With Jang's death, difficulties in uncovering the truth of the incident are anticipated. Nevertheless, the police plan to continue a rigorous investigation based on the remaining evidence and materials.
