“Forced to undress and shaved bald” … Behind the perpetrator of bullying who tormented classmates for four years was a “current police” parent.

Four Years of Collective Assault… Including Extortion of Money

A high school student in Chungcheongnam-do has been subjected to repeated assaults and bullying by his classmates for a staggering four years, starting from middle school, and has also had money taken from him.

According to a report by TJB Daejeon Broadcasting on the 9th, the Chungnam Police Agency has charged four main perpetrators, including a 17-year-old identified as A, with special assault, extortion, and violations of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.

A and the others are accused of collectively assaulting or bullying the victim, identified as B, a former middle school classmate, starting from four years ago.

They tied B's hands with blue tape and filmed parts of his body while removing his undergarments.

Additionally, they forcibly shaved B's head and shared the videos of the incident with other friends. They even forced B to drink alcohol and smoke and recorded footage of him vomiting.

There was also extortion involved. The police confirmed through account tracking that the amount verified was 2.3 million won, while B stated that including high-value items, the total surpassed 10 million won.

The victim's side reported these incidents to the school on the 11th of last month, but the school did not provide immediate measures.

On the day of the report, the school reportedly refused to take immediate separation measures, claiming it was "the day before a school trip."

Moreover, as one of the perpetrators' parents is known to be a current police officer, suspicions of a cover-up have arisen. As a result, calls for a more thorough investigation are increasing.

B’s parents have raised the issue with the education office through the school violence report center. The education office is currently reviewing the matter, stating there were problems with the school’s response.

Considering that the perpetrators are scattered across Cheongyang, Daejeon, and Boryeong, the education authorities plan to hold a joint School Violence Countermeasures Committee meeting on the 20th.

Chungnam Education Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol expressed sincere condolences to the victim and their family during the weekly business report that day, stating, "I am very saddened that such an incident occurred in a school where children should be able to learn and grow safely."

He continued, "Please do your utmost to ensure that protection for the victim and guidance for the perpetrating students is carried out through prompt investigation and deliberation. It is imperative to implement all possible measures to prevent the victim and their family from suffering further harm."
