“Fooled Again,” Wins 3 Awards… Receives Honors at the ‘Global OTT Awards’

Netflix series 'Crash Course in Romance' (written by Im Sang-chun, directed by Kim Won-seok) has added more trophies to its collection at major award ceremonies.

'Crash Course in Romance' won three awards at the '2025 Global OTT Awards' held on the 24th at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae District, Busan.

The 'Global OTT Awards' is an event organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan Metropolitan City, targeting TV and OTT content worldwide.

This work received the awards for Best Creative, Best Writer (Im Sang-chun), and Best Supporting Actress (Yum Hye-ran), acknowledging its well-crafted script and the actors' outstanding performances.

'Crash Course in Romance' has continued to garner accolades, winning four trophies (Best Script, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, Best Work) at the '61st Baeksang Arts Awards.'

It also achieved four awards (Popularity Award, Best Actress in a Miniseries, Grand Prize) at the '4th Blue Dragon Series Awards' and two awards (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, Best Writer) at the '7th Hallyu Expo.'

In terms of box office success, 'Crash Course in Romance' debuted at No. 1 in Netflix Korea and No. 4 in the global top 10 (non-English) shortly after its first release in March.

It then rose in rankings, and when the second part was released, it climbed to No. 2 in the global top 10 (non-English). After the third part premiered, it reached the top position and maintained a spot in the top 10 for eight weeks.

The production company, Pan Entertainment, stated that they will present special content following 'Crash Course in Romance' to accelerate their global growth.

Meanwhile, 'Crash Course in Romance' is a work that parallels the lives of Aesoon (played by IU) and Kwan-sik (played by Park Bo-gum) with the four seasons.
