A 30-year veteran firefighter discovered a fire while visiting a bowling alley and swiftly carried out initial suppression to prevent significant damage.
According to the Incheon Fire Department, a fire broke out at a bowling alley located in the Michuhol District of Incheon at around 3:40 PM on the 26th.

At the time of the incident, Fire Officer Ji Su-ryong, who was visiting the bowling alley, noticed smoke rising from the direction of the machine room and asked those around him to call 119 while he began initial suppression efforts.
He quickly located the indoor fire hydrant, extended the water hose, and started extinguishing the fire toward the machine room.
The fire was completely suppressed within 30 minutes by the firefighters who responded to the call.
Fire Officer Ji is a veteran firefighter with 30 years of experience, belonging to the Mannsu 119 Safety Center.

The Incheon Fire Department stated, "At the time of the incident, there were many people crowded in the bowling alley, and there was a high likelihood of significant damage. However, thanks to Officer Ji's initial response, we were able to prevent a major disaster."
Nam Dong Fire Chief Na Gi-seong expressed deep gratitude to Officer Ji for actively responding even on his day off, adding, "I hope citizens take the time to familiarize themselves with the use of fire extinguishers and indoor fire hydrants in preparation for potential fires."
