Fire Breaks Out at Cultural Heritage 'Seongbuk-dong Byeolseo' in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul
A fire occurred at the cultural heritage 'Seongbuk-dong Byeolseo,' located in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, on the 30th, prompting firefighting authorities to conduct extinguishing operations.
According to the firefighting authorities, a report was received around 12:45 PM regarding a fire of unknown origin in the main building of Seongbuk-dong Byeolseo.
As the scale of the fire increased, the firefighting authorities issued a Level 1 response at 1:43 PM and deployed 15 fire trucks along with 66 personnel to the scene to focus all efforts on extinguishing the fire. Fortunately, no casualties have been confirmed so far.

Seongbuk-dong Byeolseo is a cultural heritage site designated as Scenic Site No. 35 in 2008. It is evaluated as a well-preserved cultural heritage that retains the characteristics of traditional Korean gardens as a representative byeolseo (villa) garden from the Joseon Dynasty.
