Im Soo-jung has completed her journey towards independence. She has found a new agency and will be working with Lee Min-ho under the same roof.
On the 27th, MYM Entertainment announced the signing of an exclusive contract with Im Soo-jung, stating, "We are honored to accompany Im Soo-jung on her journey."
They showed deep trust in Im Soo-jung, saying, "Im Soo-jung conveys a strong and deep resonance in her acting through her delicate appearance and is walking straight on the path of an actor."
They emphasized, "We will provide full support based on deep trust to create good synergy in Im Soo-jung's journey."
Im Soo-jung debuted in the entertainment industry as a commercial model and gained recognition in 2001 through KBS2's 'School 4'. She rose to stardom with the movie 'A Tale of Two Sisters' and KBS2's 'I'm Sorry, I Love You'.
Since then, she has expanded her acting spectrum across various genres, showcasing diverse characters through works like 'Search: WWW', 'Melancholia', 'Cobweb', and 'Single in Seoul'.
Until recently, Im Soo-jung was active without a manager, and after her exclusive contract expired with King Kong by Starship in 2022, she did not search for another agency.
It was a new challenge. In a variety show, Im Soo-jung shared, "For over 20 years, I received good support and management from the agency," adding, "But at some point, I felt scared to step out of that framework."
She continued, "I felt like I couldn't go anywhere without the manager who was always there for me, and gradually became fearful of taking on challenges. So, I decided to try being alone for a while."
Meanwhile, Im Soo-jung is set to take on a new acting transformation through Disney+'s 'Fine'.
