Stray Kids' Felix has been appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the Korean Committee of UNICEF.

Felix attended the appointment ceremony held at JYP headquarters on the 21st. He revealed his reason for the commitment: "I want to protect the pure happiness of all children."

He continued, "I'm grateful for the love I've received from fans. I want to share that love with all my strength to the children."

Joo Mi-jin, Secretary-General of the Korean Committee of UNICEF, stated, "Felix practices the value of sharing in his life. His heartfelt actions have been an inspiration to many."

She added, "We look forward to the positive influence he will continue to have. We ask him to be a reliable supporter for children around the world."

UNICEF has been appointing individuals from various fields who contribute to society as goodwill ambassadors. On its 30th anniversary, Felix was named as a new goodwill ambassador.

The Korean Committee of UNICEF explained, "Felix has actively supported the growth and prosperity of children around the globe."

Previously, Felix donated 150 million KRW to improve nutrition and water sanitation for children. He visited Laos to actively support the development and prosperity of children around the world.

Meanwhile, UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) is a subsidiary of the United Nations. It is the only agency specified in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child to play a role in promoting children's rights. UNICEF carries out various projects for children worldwide in health, nutrition, water, sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief.
