The suspect in the shooting incident in Songdo has been apprehended in Seoul… 'On the day of his son's birthday'

The suspect in the shooting murder case that occurred in Incheon Songdo International City has been captured by the police in Seocho District, Seoul.

The suspect is said to be the victim's father and allegedly committed the act on his son's birthday.

According to the Incheon Yeonsu Police Station and others, a shooting incident occurred at an apartment complex in Incheon Songdo International City around 10:30 PM on the 20th. A man in his 30s, identified as B, was transported to the hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The caller is presumed to be the victim's wife, who reported to the police that "the father-in-law shot her husband." At the scene, a homemade gun equipped with metal beads was discovered.

"Father said he was going to the convenience store," then pulled the trigger aimed at his son.

According to the police, the suspect A (in his 60s) reportedly said he was "going to the convenience store" right before the incident and then fired the weapon at his son.

That day was the victim's birthday, and it has been reported that the family had spent time together until just before the incident.

Immediately after the crime, A fled the scene, and the police initiated an emergency manhunt.

The 60-year-old father was captured in Seocho District, Seoul… Investigation ongoing.

The fugitive A was apprehended on the 21st in the Seocho District area by the police. The police have charged A with murder and are conducting a full investigation into the motive and circumstances of the crime.

A police official stated, "As of now, it has been confirmed that it wasn't a random shooting but an act aimed at a specific target," adding, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident."
