Famous Idol Birthday Sticker Remnants Left in National Heritage
Recently, an event organized by an entertainment agency to celebrate the birthday of a famous idol group member has faced severe criticism from the public.
On the 5th, Channel A reported that the 'sticker event' held for the birthday of idol A was improperly handled after stickers were placed in cultural heritage preservation areas.
According to the report, the event involved fans finding and verifying 26 hidden stickers around Seoul, with the reward being a prized item from the star.

The problem is that these stickers were 'illegally' affixed to facilities in the protected area near Historic Site No. 10, the Seoul City Wall.
Shin Young-moon, head of the UNESCO Heritage Registration team in Seoul, confirmed, "We found stickers at at least four locations and since they were affixed to facilities within the preservation area, we plan to request the company take measures to prevent recurrence."
The remnants of stickers that were not completely removed can still be clearly seen on the facilities in the protected area where they were affixed due to A's birthday event.

In response, A's agency stated, "The subcontracted company proceeded with the event without detailed communication," adding, "We sincerely apologize for not having thoroughly managed the situation."
Netizens reacted by saying, "Why are they blaming the company?", "Even if they didn't put the stickers on themselves, the responsibility lies with the agency," "The planning was done by the agency, so how can they shift the blame to an external contractor?", and "It's unfortunate that the idol is getting blamed because of the agency's incompetence."
Meanwhile, the Seoul City Wall is designated as Historic Site No. 10, a national heritage. According to the Cultural Heritage Protection Act, damaging a national heritage site can result in a prison sentence of over three years or a fine of up to 150 million won.
