Felix from ‘Stray Kids’ (hereafter ‘SKZ’) hinted at overwhelming charisma. On the 27th, SKZ released the individual teaser ‘UNVEIL: TRACK Unfair’ for their new album ‘合’ on their official SNS. Felix took the lead.
The teaser stood out with its sensory direction. It depicted Felix alone in a dark setting or strolling leisurely through a dense forest. There was also an image of him floating as if submerged in the depths of an abyss. It is a beast story inspired by the fairy tale ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Felix’s delicate expressiveness was impressive, with his deep gaze enhancing immersion, sparking anticipation for the new song.
The album is prepared in the format of ‘SKZHOP HIPTAP’. Like a newly defined genre, it proposes a genre unique to SKZ. A total of 12 tracks are included. Again, the group’s own producing team 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han) led the way, with all members contributing to the new album credits, showcasing their individuality.
The title track is ‘Walkin On Water’. ‘U’ features support from Epik High’s Tablo. ‘Bounce Back’ and ‘Walkin On Water (Hip ver.)’ are also included. The world tour solo songs of the members will be officially released, such as ‘Railway’ (Bang Chan), ‘Unfair’ (Felix), ‘HALLUCINATION’ (I.N).
‘Youth’ (Lee Know), ‘So Good’ (Hyunjin), ‘ULTRA’ (Changbin), ‘Hold my hand’ (Han), and ‘Slowly, We’ (Seungmin) are also available.
This year, they were nominated at major global award ceremonies such as the iHeartRadio Music Awards. They have also been nominated for the ’67th Grammy Awards’ on February 2nd next year. SKZ’s ‘Slash,’ included in the soundtrack album for the movie ‘Deadpool and Wolverine,’ has been nominated for the Grammy’s ‘Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media’ category.
They were nominated for ‘2024 Billboard Music Awards’ in the Top Duo/Group, Top K-Pop Album, and Top Global K-Pop Artist categories, proving their popularity by being named as nominees for two consecutive years. Meanwhile, Stray Kids will release their new album on major music sites on the 13th of next month at 2 PM (Eastern U.S. time, midnight).
