On the 15th, the distributor Warner Bros. Korea announced, "The release date for 'F1: The Movie,' starring Brad Pitt, has been confirmed for June."
'F1: The Movie' revolves around the world of Formula 1 (F1), telling the story of a veteran F1 driver racing against a brilliant rookie driver from the lowest-ranked team.
The collaboration between Brad Pitt and director Joseph Kosinski has garnered attention. Joseph Kosinski is known for opening a new chapter in aviation blockbusters with 'Top Gun: Maverick.'
A related poster has been released, featuring Brad Pitt as Sony Hayes. The image captures him placing his hands on his hips in front of a racing car, gazing at something in the distance.
A trailer has also been unveiled, showcasing Sony Hayes sitting in a racing car, accompanied by the line, "Why have you come back?" He is depicted training amidst the criticism of being a "washed-up cowboy."
Fast-paced racing scenes followed, introducing the rookie driver Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris), igniting curiosity about the teamwork between the legend and the newcomer.
An insider remarked, "It is the perfect summer blockbuster," and added that "beyond sports, it features a gripping narrative. Audiences can also expect thrilling adrenaline-fueled car action."
Meanwhile, 'F1: The Movie' will hit the theaters in the Republic of Korea in June, with specific screening dates to be announced later.
