A gas burner exploded while grilling meat in a hotel room… Three men hospitalized
In a hotel located on the 8th floor of a 16-story building in U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, a gas burner exploded, causing a fire.
According to the Busan Fire Disaster Headquarters on the 21st, the fire occurred around 6:50 PM the previous day, injuring three men, including a man in his 40s, Mr. A, who were then transported to a nearby hospital.
Additionally, about 40 guests staying at the hotel were forced to evacuate urgently.

The fire reportedly broke out just five minutes after Mr. A and others turned on the portable gas burner to start grilling meat for dinner, resulting in a butane gas explosion.
They attempted to extinguish the fire themselves using a powder fire extinguisher. Thanks to the alarm and the activation of the sprinkler system, the fire did not spread beyond the room.
Upon hearing the alarm, hotel staff received a report from guests saying, "There is smoke," and immediately called 119.

Firefighters, after receiving the report, dispatched 110 personnel and 38 pieces of equipment and completely extinguished the fire at around 7:04 PM, 14 minutes after the report was filed.
The fire caused damage estimated at 3.23 million won to the room's interior and furnishings, according to fire department estimates.
A fire department official stated, "The fire was initially suppressed by the sprinkler system in the hotel, and firefighters who arrived at the scene completely extinguished the flames," adding that the fire appears to have started due to the improper handling of the portable gas burner.
Police and fire officials are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
