‘Escape’ Invited to US Asian Film Festival…”Starting the Race Toward the World”

Actors Lee Je-hoon and Koo Kyo-hwan are heading to the United States. The film "Runaway" (directed by Lee Jong-pil) has been invited to an international film festival.

Distributor PlusM Entertainment announced on the 19th, "'Runaway' has been officially invited to the 'Prime Picks' section of the 23rd New York Asian Film Festival."

The New York Asian Film Festival is a leading Asian film festival in North America. It showcases a diverse range of genres from blockbusters to arthouse films.

"Runaway" was invited to the 'Prime Picks' section of the festival. It was screened twice for the audience, with local screening schedules on the 15th (Korean time) and the 19th.

It premiered alongside other Korean films like "Spring in Seoul," "Graveyard," and "The Outlaws 4," as an official selection. The message of the film received critical acclaim.

Executive Director Samuel Jamier explained the selection by stating, "'Runaway' perfectly embodies the bold and provocative films that the New York Asian Film Festival aims to present."

He added, "It is thrilling and challenging, with a message about freedom. It represents the bold storytelling of Korean and Asian cinema."

Meanwhile, "Runaway" was released on the 3rd and retook the number one spot at the domestic box office on the 19th.
