Lee Kyung-kyu, Implicated in Drugged Driving
Famous comedian Lee Kyung-kyu has been implicated in driving under the influence of drugs.
According to a report by MBN on the 9th, the Gangnam Police Station has booked Lee without detention on the charge of violating the Road Traffic Act as of the day before (the 8th).
Lee reportedly drove his foreign vehicle to his company around 2:05 PM, using a car identical to another person's vehicle at an indoor golf practice facility in Gangnam, Seoul.
After realizing that his vehicle was missing, the owner of the car filed a report suspecting theft. The police found that a parking management staff member mistakenly handed over the wrong car to Lee.
The police conducted an investigation on Lee, who returned to the indoor golf practice facility.
The results of Lee's breathalyzer test were negative, but it was reported that a rapid drug test indicated a positive reaction for drugs.
In response, Lee asserted that he had only taken prescribed medication and strongly denied the related allegations.
However, the current Road Traffic Act stipulates that one must not drive a vehicle if there is a concern that they are unable to drive normally due to the influence of drugs.
A police official stated to MBN, "We cannot answer as it is an ongoing investigation."
