A man in his 60s operating a guesthouse in Jung-gu, Incheon, is under police investigation after reports that he unlawfully entered the room of a Chinese female guest and attempted sexual assault.
On the 22nd, the Incheon Jungbu Police Station announced that they are conducting a preliminary investigation into a man, referred to as A, on charges of burglary and sexual harassment.
A is facing allegations that around 3 AM on the 20th, he entered the room where Chinese woman B was staying at his guesthouse in Jung-gu, Incheon, and forcibly assaulted her.

The victim, B, immediately reported the incident to the police by calling 112. Officers who arrived at the scene took A in for questioning.
Following the incident, B detailed her experience on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu.
Shocking Details of the Incident Shared by the Victim on Social Media
In her social media post, B shared that she received a message from the guesthouse owner asking "Are you sleeping?" around 2:30 AM. "Since I was lying in bed, I didn’t respond, but about 30 minutes later, the front door light turned on," she explained.
B, not fluent in Korean, tried to convey that she was asleep by saying "sorry," but A allegedly entered after inputting the door code.
B stated, "I felt very intense fear and managed to resist before calling the police."
According to B, A made excuses, saying, "I did it because I liked you" and "It was because of alcohol and drugs." B emphasized, "I clearly refused, and I believe his actions cannot be justified by excuses."

A police representative stated, "We plan to call the victim in for questioning and have confirmed the facts at the scene. The reason we have not formally charged him is that we must first conduct a thorough investigation."
Police are currently investigating to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.
