ENHYPEN took Japan by storm with their second full-length album, breaking their own record on the Japanese music charts.
Oricon Japan announced the latest chart on the 23rd (for the 29th, with data collected from the 15th to the 21st). ENHYPEN's second full-length album 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD' topped the weekly album rankings.
Oricon stated, "'ROMANCE : UNTOLD' sold 289,000 copies in its first week of release in Japan. This surpasses their previous record of 233,000 copies sold with their first full-length Japanese album 'Sadame' (定め)."
This marks their eighth time topping the chart in total. Notably, this achievement was made with the Korean album 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD' on the Oricon weekly rankings. It even exceeded the first-week sales of albums released in Japan.
ENHYPEN continues to set new career highs. Their second full-length album recorded first-week sales of 2.34 million copies, reaching the status of a double million-seller.
They have also conquered the global music market. 'ROMANCE : UNTOLD' debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's main chart, the 'Billboard 200' (for the 27th). ENHYPEN's previous highest ranking on the 'Billboard 200' was 4th.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN is set to meet with local fans. They will be performing at the 'Rock In Japan Festival 2024', one of Japan's four major music festivals, on the 10th of next month. They will also continue their Japan world tour from August 24th to September 1st.
