ENHYPEN achieved remarkable success with their music in Japan. They received their first gold medal in the streaming category.
On the 29th, the Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded certifications based on cumulative plays in the streaming category. ENHYPEN's title track "Drunk-Dazed" from their 2nd mini album 'BORDER: CARNIVAL' received gold certification.
As of last month, "Drunk-Dazed" surpassed 50 million cumulative plays. Certifications are awarded as Gold (50 million plays), Platinum (100 million plays), and Diamond (500 million plays) based on the number of plays.
"Drunk-Dazed" is a pop rock genre song. The rocking vibe of the 808 bass is captivating. It showcases ENHYPEN's dark side.
The 2nd mini album 'BORDER: CARNIVAL' has shown consistent popularity. When it was released in May 2021, it debuted at No. 18 on the US Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200'. The music video also surpassed 100 million views for the first time.
To date, ENHYPEN has received gold disc certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan for a total of 12 albums. Their third single in Japan, 'You', and their second single 'DIMENSION: SENKOU' have both achieved double platinum.
Their 2nd full album 'Romance: Untold', their first full Japanese album 'Sadame', and their debut single 'BORDER: HAKANAI' have achieved platinum, while their 5th mini album 'Orange Blood', their 4th mini album 'Dark Blood', and five other albums have received gold certifications.
Meanwhile, ENHYPEN will conclude their approximately 7-month-long world tour 'FATE PLUS' with performances in Miyagi, Japan on the 31st and the 1st of the next month.
