Actor Song Kang-ho has perfectly transformed into a volleyball coach. On the 6th, the team behind the movie "One Victory" (directed by Shin Yeon-shik) released six stills capturing Song Kang-ho’s volleyball coach moments. Song Kang-ho enhances the film's immersion with his realistic portrayal.
"One Victory" is about a professional women's volleyball team with no coach who has experienced victory, an owner with no intention of winning, and players who don't know how to win—embarking on a challenge to claim their first victory.
The stills capture the character Kim Woo-jin (played by Song Kang-ho), a volleyball coach who has faced failure in matches. His career and life have been lackluster, dealing with issues like dismissal, bankruptcy, expulsion, and divorce.
He spends his meals in a dark office with beer and instant noodles. During practice, he encourages the players with a thumbs-up and even holds late-night practices amidst the team’s losing streak.
As a coach who sincerely loves volleyball, he shows a serious demeanor, teaching individual players with detailed attention and training alongside them. He passionately delivers fervent speeches during strategy time-outs.
The team "Pink Storm," with skills and teamwork on the brink of falling apart—how will Kim Woo-jin transform them? "One Victory" will meet audiences in theaters on the 4th of next month.
