“Engine Fuel, Still a Lot Left”… ‘F1 The Movie’ Surpasses 1 Million

The movie 'F1: The Movie' (directed by Joseph Kosinski) has surpassed 1 million viewers. According to the integrated ticket sales network of the Korean Film Council, 'F1: The Movie' recorded an accumulated audience of 1,001,117 as of 11:21 AM on the 7th.

Notably, it is the first original live-action foreign film without a source material or franchise to break 1 million viewers in 5 years since the film 'Tenet' (2020).

'F1: The Movie' is a racing film in which veteran driver Sonny Hayes (played by Brad Pitt) competes in the race of a lifetime alongside a rookie driver. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, known for 'Top Gun: Maverick,' 'F1: The Movie' is being referred to as the land version of 'Top Gun,' receiving explosive support from real audiences.

It is achieving global box office success, having topped the North American box office over the last weekend. Since its release, it has garnered over $200 million in revenue.

Meanwhile, 'F1: The Movie' is currently playing in theaters nationwide.
