Teacher Myung Jae-wan, accused of killing Kim Ha-neul, has received a final decision for dismissal.
The Daejeon City Office of Education held a disciplinary committee meeting on the 8th of last month, determining the dismissal of Mr. Myung. It has been confirmed that he did not file a separate objection after being notified of this decision.

Notably, despite being dismissed, Mr. Myung will still be eligible to receive a reduced pension. According to the current Public Service Pension Act, pension eligibility is fully revoked only in cases where a sentence of imprisonment or higher is confirmed due to treason or violations of the National Security Law. In Mr. Myung's case, he does not fall under these conditions and is reported to be able to receive a pension reduced by 50%.
