Couple Found Dead in Suncheon Apartment, Police Launch Investigation

A tragic event occurred in an apartment in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province, where a couple died following a dispute.

The police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.

According to a report by Newsis on the 28th, around 11:10 PM the previous night, the couple's teenage daughter made an emergency call to the fire department, saying, "My mother has been stabbed."

Upon arrival at the scene, police and rescue teams were confronted with a shocking sight. A man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, was found lying in the apartment complex's flower bed, while a woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. B, was discovered with stab wounds in the living room.

The two were immediately transported to a nearby hospital but ultimately died during treatment. They have been confirmed to be a married couple, who reportedly had ongoing conflicts.

Analyzing Scene Evidence and Witness Testimonies

The police are reconstructing the incident based on the scene's circumstances and witness testimonies. Preliminary investigations suggest that Mr. A attacked his wife Ms. B with a weapon following a dispute and then attempted to take his own life.

An official from the Suncheon Police Station stated, "We are investigating the surviving family to understand the exact circumstances of the incident."

If the investigation confirms that Mr. A is suspected of having killed his wife, the case will be closed with 'no prosecution' as the suspect, Mr. A, has also died.
