Doyoung of 'NCT' received positive reviews for his stage performance. He is currently starring in the musical 'The Man Who Laughs' which opened on the 9th at the Seoul Arts Center Opera Theater. He took on the role of Gwynplaine, returning to the stage after about four years.

He delicately portrayed the dynamic emotions of the character, excellently expressing everything from childish traits to anger towards the aristocracy, and the sadness of parting with a lover. His unique interpretation was noteworthy. Doyoung completed his own version of Gwynplaine by adding a pure boyish charm to the existing character, enriching the narrative.

Not only did he provide visual enjoyment, but he also delivered auditory pleasure. He powerfully led the 180-minute performance. His straightforward yet powerful singing effortlessly blended with the orchestral melodies.

Director Robert Johanson praised Doyoung's performance, saying, "He completely tore our hearts apart. As a newcomer in the musical field, his future career is something to look forward to."

Meanwhile, the musical 'The Man Who Laughs' will run until March 9th.
