Actors Ji Jin-hee, Kim Ji-soo, Son Na-eun, and Choi Min-ho are returning with a blood-soaked melodrama.
On the 25th, JTBC released three official posters for the new weekend drama "Family X Melodrama" (written by Kim Young-yoon, directed by Kim Da-ye), which depict the relationships between Byun Moo-jin (Ji Jin-hee), Geum Ae-yeon (Kim Ji-soo), Byun Mi-rae (Son Na-eun), and Nam Tae-pyung (Choi Min-ho).

First, the agreement to divorce between Moo-jin and Ae-yeon was captured. The two divorced 11 years ago after Moo-jin's repeated business failures led to financial ruin.
A love-hate relationship unfolds. Moo-jin returns to Ae-yeon's life as a millionaire building owner and courts her. "Ae-yeon is thrown into an emotional whirlwind," said a representative.
Another highlight is the estranged father-daughter relationship between Moo-jin and his ex-daughter Mi-rae. Mi-rae becomes an obstacle to Moo-jin and Ae-yeon's reconciliation. Raised as the head of the household in Moo-jin's absence, Mi-rae is now an MD at the large supermarket JPLUS.
Mi-rae becomes frantic when Moo-jin returns to reclaim his place beside her mother, leading to a tense standoff with her estranged father.
The romantic chemistry between Mi-rae and Tae-pyung is also anticipated. Their relationship starts unconventionally when Tae-pyung, a security guard at JPLUS, becomes the only person to discover Mi-rae’s secret about her father's identity. They grow closer as he promises to keep her secret.
Tae-pyung's family situation is also complex. Though he appears to be an ordinary taekwondo instructor and security guard, he is actually the son of the supermarket owner, also embroiled in conflicts with his father, much like Mi-rae.
"Family X Melodrama" is a blood-soaked family melodrama. It tells the story of a father, discarded 11 years ago, who returns as the owner of their building. The drama will air following "A Woman Who is Different Day and Night" and premieres at 10:30 PM on the 10th of next month.
