KBS-2TV's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Dog Sound' has unveiled its cast members. Actors Park Sung-woong, Yeonwoo, Kim Ji-young, and Lee Soo-kyung will be the main characters. The show aims to captivate viewers of all ages.
'Dog Sound' (written by Bian Sook-kyung, directed by Kim Yoo-jin) is a situation comedy drama. It portrays the delightful growth story of lively seniors and 'Sophie,' a retired police dog.
Park Sung-woong will play the role of 'Lee Gi-dong,' the late-born only son of the national actor Soon-jae (played by Lee Soon-jae). Contrary to his usual charismatic image, Gi-dong has a very gentle nature.
Gi-dong settles on Geoje Island due to some unspoken reasons. Avoiding his father Soon-jae, the viewers' attention is drawn to the story of this father and son.
Yeonwoo transforms into 'Hong Cho-won,' a police officer responsible for maintaining public order on Geoje Island. Cho-won is warm-hearted, kind, and just. She delves into the truths behind various incidents on the island.
Kim Ji-young will display a mother-daughter chemistry with Yeonwoo. She will play 'Hong Eun-ha,' Cho-won's mother and owner of an anchovy noodle shop. Eun-ha is straightforward and rough around the edges, harboring an unspeakable secret from her daughter.
Lee Soo-kyung will appear as 'Kim Se-kyung,' the daughter of Yong-gun (played by Kim Yong-gun) and a dermatologist. She relies more on her father's best friend Soon-jae than her own father. She also has a shocking connection with Gi-dong.
The screenplay for this work is written by Bian Sook-kyung, the writer of 'Nonstop 5.' Director Kim Yoo-jin, known for 'The Undateables,' holds the megaphone.
Veteran actors such as Lee Soon-jae, Kim Yong-gun, Ye Soo-jung, Im Chae-moo, and Song Ok-suk will feature prominently. Park Sung-woong, Yeonwoo, Kim Ji-young, and Lee Soo-kyung plan to create an interesting chemistry.
'Dog Sound' is set to premiere this September.
