Dog owner abuses large dog with grooming equipment while tied up at Dongducheon hair salon

Large Dog 'Sani' Assaulted at Dog Grooming Salon in Dongducheon Safely Rescued

A large dog being assaulted with grooming tools by its owner at a grooming salon in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province, has been safely rescued.

On the 29th, the animal rights organization 'Care' announced that it recently received ownership of the Old English Sheepdog 'Sani' from its owner.

'Sani' is a six-month-old puppy that has been at the center of controversy online for allegations of abuse. In the controversial video, 'Sani' was seen being hit in the head indiscriminately by its owner wielding a grooming tool called a 'clipper'.

An individual who witnessed and recorded the incident, referred to as A, claimed, "They tied that big dog up behind the salon and kept beating it all day. (The dog) was barking out of fear, and when a person approached, it barked loudly, but then the back door of the shop opened, and a woman came out with the grooming clipper and repeatedly pressed its neck and hit it."

He added, "They were hitting it with all their might, but I was volunteering at a trail running event and couldn't do anything but start recording video immediately. I wonder how much the dog was beaten while tied up there. I will do my best to find a way to report this and get them punished."

The Care organization stated, "'Sani' is the owner's dog who came to help out at the salon for the day, and the woman in the video is not a direct associate of the salon that was exposed." They further reported that the owner of Sani claimed the abuse was done "as a form of discipline" and stated it was the first time they had committed such an act.

They continued, "In any case, the owner deeply regrets their actions and has transferred ownership of Sani to Care. After watching the videos uploaded by others, they finally realized that they had lost their composure and made a serious mistake at the time."
