Kim Moon-soo submits an application for provisional suspension of the cancellation of his nomination as a presidential candidate of the People Power Party.
Kim Moon-soo, the presidential candidate from the People Power Party, submitted a request for provisional suspension to the Southern District Court of Seoul, seeking to halt the cancellation of his candidacy qualifications by the party.
On the 10th, a representative from Kim's campaign stated, "Around 12:35 pm today, we submitted the application for provisional suspension against the cancellation of the nomination of the People Power Party's presidential candidate to the Southern District Court of Seoul."
Earlier that morning, at a press conference held at the campaign office, Kim declared, "Last night, the People Power Party's emergency committee illegally deprived me of my qualifications as a candidate, which was rightfully given by the people and party members." He added, "I will take immediate legal and political action against this illegal and unjust candidate replacement."

This submission follows the emergency committee and the election management committee of the People Power Party holding urgent meetings early this morning (10th) to initiate procedures for re-nominating another candidate in place of Kim.
This situation is causing political turbulence ahead of the presidential election, amidst controversies regarding candidate replacement within the ruling party.
While the Kim Moon-soo camp claims that he has been unjustly stripped of his legitimate candidacy, the People Power Party's emergency committee asserts that this decision is aimed at enhancing the party's competitiveness.

Discussions are taking place within the legal community regarding the implications of judicial intervention related to party nominations and the extent of such.
In general, courts tend to respect the autonomy of political parties; however, there are opinions suggesting that intervention could be warranted in cases where procedural fairness is severely compromised.
As Kim Moon-soo's legal actions and the People Power Party's candidate replacement procedure unfold simultaneously, political attention is focused on how this will affect the upcoming presidential election dynamics.
