“We are inevitably going to Harbin between sincerity and doubt.”

Director Woo Min-ho returns to theaters this winter with the film ‘Harbin.’ It depicts the sincerity of General Ahn Jung-geun and the stories of the independence fighters.

On the 19th, Director Woo Min-ho spoke about his motivation for directing ‘Harbin’: “The fact that General Ahn Jung-geun, as Deputy Chief of Staff of the Korean Armed Forces, eradicated Ito Hirobumi is known by the entire nation.”

He continued, “I have had many thoughts about ‘how can I make this process interesting?’ from a cinematic perspective,” and expressed his hope that the film would allow viewers to get one step closer to understanding General Ahn Jung-geun’s heart. Woo Min-ho is known for his bold and substantial directing style. He often covers events worth revisiting in Korean history.

‘Inside Men’ and ‘The Man Standing Next’ are his representative works. In ‘Harbin,’ he focuses on the year 1909, depicting the breathless pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin and those chasing them. Actor Hyun Bin transforms into General Ahn Jung-geun.

Park Jung-min, Jo Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-been, Park Hoon, Yoo Jae-myung, and Lee Dong-wook also appear, raising expectations. ‘Harbin’ will be released on December 25th, Christmas Day.
