Actors Lee Byung-hun and Son Ye-jin will collaborate with director Park Chan-wook.
Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 12th that "'Unavoidable' (Director Park Chan-wook) has completed casting Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Yoo Yeon-seok."
'Unavoidable' is a suspense thriller. The story revolves around an office worker who is suddenly laid off and challenges re-employment to protect his wife and children and to secure his home.
Lee Byung-hun will play Mansu, who is notified of his dismissal from a company he worked for 25 years. He portrays a man on the edge, driven by desperation and madness towards re-employment.
Son Ye-jin will take on the role of Mira, Mansu's wife. She is a bright and versatile character showing a multi-dimensional aspect by leading the family despite her husband's unemployment.
Park Hee-soon will play Choi Seon-chul, a foreman at a paper company, while Lee Sung-min has been cast as Gyu Beom-mo, a veteran in the paper industry who has become a job seeker. Yeom Hye-ran will play Beom-mo's wife.
Additionally, Cha Seung-won has joined as Ko Si-jo, another competitor of Mansu. Yoo Yeon-seok has been cast in the role of Oh Jin-ho, a dentist at the clinic where Mira works.
Meanwhile, 'Unavoidable' recently completed its ritual ceremony. Filming is scheduled to begin on the 17th.
