The movie 'Deadpool and Wolverine' (directed by Shawn Levy) has risen to the top of the reservation rate charts. According to the Korea Film Council's integrated network for cinema ticket sales, as of 10:57 AM on the 19th, 'Deadpool and Wolverine' had 69,052 advance reservations. On this day, the reservation rate was 14.8%, ranking first among all movies. Despite its R rating, the film showed a steep rise in reservations immediately after opening.
The start is promising. It has surpassed the advance reservation numbers of its predecessor, 'Deadpool 2.' 'Deadpool 2' had a box office score of 3.78 million viewers, making it the highest-grossing R-rated Marvel film in Korea. However, the figures are not overwhelmingly dominant. The movie 'Pilot' (directed by Han-gyeol Kim), starring Jo Jung-suk, is in a close second place with a reservation rate of 14.2%.
Meanwhile, 'Deadpool and Wolverine' is the third installment in the 'Deadpool' series. It tells the story of Deadpool, who seeks out Wolverine while facing a crisis. The movie is set to be released on the 24th.
