The movie "Deadpool and Wolverine" (directed by Shawn Levy) started off strong, ranking first on its opening weekend.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, "Deadpool and Wolverine" attracted 164,625 viewers on the 26th. It topped the box office for three consecutive days.
The cumulative number of viewers is 528,026. It surpassed 500,000 viewers on its third day of release. Based on revenue, it has a market share of 48.1%, and this dominance is expected to continue for some time.
"Deadpool and Wolverine" is the third installment in the "Deadpool" series. The story revolves around Deadpool, who has retired from his hero life, facing a giant crisis and seeking out his polar opposite, Wolverine.
"Despicable Me 4" (directed by Chris Renaud) ranked second. On the same day, 65,083 people watched it, bringing the total audience to 296,980. This is a lower score than expected.
"Escape" (directed by Lee Jong-pil) is showing long-term success. It maintained the third spot in the box office. On the same day, 42,352 people went to the theater. The cumulative number of viewers has exceeded 211,000.
"Inside Out 2" (directed by Kelsey Mann) and "Detective Conan: The Pentagram of One Million Dollars" (directed by Nagaoka) followed. They were watched by 25,799 and 18,238 people, respectively.
