Drunk 40s Woman Arrested for Attacking Father with a Weapon

The Pyeongtaek Police are currently investigating a 40s woman, referred to as A, who was arrested on the 25th for attacking her father with a weapon while intoxicated, under the suspicion of aggravated injury to a family member.

The incident occurred around 7:50 PM on the 24th at their residence in Pyeongtaek.

A is accused of injuring her father, B, in his 70s, with a weapon, causing cuts to his arm. Fortunately, B was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition.

A's mother, who was present at the scene, reported the incident to the police, who swiftly apprehended A, who was still intoxicated.

According to police, the specific motive and circumstances of the crime have not yet been determined. The police are working to confirm the exact details of the incident with A and others involved.

A police official stated, "Due to A’s high level of intoxication, we have not been able to conduct a proper investigation yet," adding, "We cannot disclose specific details about the investigation at this time."
