
Singer Daesung will lead the Japanese version of 'Current King of Mask Singer.' The production company 'Creas Studio' announced on the 25th, "Daesung has been confirmed as the MC for the Japanese version of 'Current King of Mask Singer,' titled 'Current King of Mask Singer Japan,' showcasing his 17 years of experience as a cultural diplomat."
Daesung has been active in both countries as a member of 'Big Bang' and has also demonstrated powerful influence as a solo artist. He recently held a live tour across 10 cities in Japan.
He contributed to the success of the 'Current King of Mask Singer' series, appearing as a master in both 'Current King of Mask Singer 1' and 'Current King of Mask Singer 2.' He also hosted 'Hanil Top Ten Show,' offering stable and confident guidance.
Daesung expressed, "It has already been 17 years since I began my activities between Korea and Japan. I am thrilled to take on the role of MC for the top 7 vocalists competition program in Japan." He added that he plans to make every effort for a successful launch, intending to incorporate the experiences he gained while working in both countries to create a warm and pleasant program.
'Current King of Mask Singer Japan' is an audition program for male vocalists targeting J-pop singers and will be broadcast on BS Nippon Television. The first recording is set to take place on the 27th of next month.
The prize for the winner is 10 million yen (approximately 100,320,000 KRW), and additional broadcasting benefits will be provided, including participation in the 'Korea-Japan King of Mask Singer' and 'Current King of Mask Singer 2' spin-off programs.
Meanwhile, Daesung will continue his solo tour 'D's WAVE' in Kobe, Japan, on July 22-23.
