"What should I do about a customer who devours all the tasting fruits?" … A fruit store owner's dilemma
A fruit store owner has been struggling for a month due to a troublesome customer who enjoys 'free tastings.'
On the 7th, JTBC's 'Incident Counter' shared the story of a 40-year-old self-employed individual, referred to as A, who has been operating a fruit store in the neighborhood for the past six months after moving on from his previous job.
A mentioned, "Thanks to my hard work bringing in fresh fruits from the crack of dawn every day, word of mouth has been spreading and sales have been increasing." He added, "The problem is a lady who has been coming to my store for the past three months."
According to A, the troublesome customer appears every day at 3 PM and monopolizes the 'tasting' fruits.

He explained, "At first, she would say, 'It's delicious, so I'll have one more,' but later she started requesting, 'Can you cut a little more for me?'" He lamented, "It was difficult to refuse in front of other customers, so I just gave her what she wanted."
This problematic customer, who devoured the tasting fruits every day, would sometimes buy inexpensive fruits and then say, "I tried it yesterday and it didn't taste good," adding, "Please give me another fruit as a service."
A expressed, "Since it's a neighborhood business, I'm worried about the rumors, and I don't want to become uncomfortable with anyone, but if this continues, I'm afraid I'll get exhausted. What should I do?" seeking advice.
Netizens who came across the story reacted with anger, saying things like, "Getting rid of tastings is the answer," "There are really all kinds of people," and "It seems like she's eating without buying fruits, just going to the store for a free meal. How brazen!"
