The post included two photos showing numerous teenagers racing their bicycles in the center of a public road.

The author, a 46-year-old male bus driver living in Gangseo District, Busan, expressed his concerns, stating, "I have recently witnessed many teenagers interfering with vehicle pathways, reckless driving, and causing accidents on the roads."

Causes and Solutions for Dangerous Teen Bicycle Behaviors

He noted that such dangerous behaviors seem to be influenced by "a specific webtoon," adding, "It's alarming when teenagers perform risky stunts to look cool while I'm driving my bus." He also pointed out that "it’s likely that other areas are experiencing the same issue," suggesting this could be a nationwide phenomenon.

He emphasized, "The weather is nice and it's a great day for riding. However, they should be using dedicated bicycle lanes without causing harm to others," underscoring the need for a safe cycling culture.

In particular, he identified family education as the root cause of this issue.

He reflected, "I think the problem lies with these kids' parents," and shared a sad story about a driver who called the police to discipline the teenagers, only to have the parents cause more chaos upon arrival.

Finally, he expressed his concern that "these kids will become motorcycle street racers in a few years," and urged fellow parents, "I hope that those of us with children will take a bit more interest in their education."
